This is a list of all the collectors who have been registered in SAMLA so far. Some of the most important collectors are highlighted above.

Folklore and descriptions of traditional cultural practices have been collected by people all over Norway. Many of the collectors submitted folklore collections to both the Norwegian Folklore Archives in Oslo and Ethno-Folkloristic Archive in Bergen. Some of them also responded to questionnaires for the Norwegian Ethnological Research. Therefore, certain individuals may have roles as both collectors and informants.
